All of the worlds’ great traditions of religion and spirituality emphasize helping others. Why is it that I cannot seem to find it in my heart to do so?
Maybe because you live in a society surrounded by people and messages that don’t reinforce the benefits of cooperation. If you did I think there would be more incentive. It’s hard to be a good person all by yourself.
You gain virtues only by practice. Now you can figure out what will be your first step, and then make it.
