Disgusted!
1. A Christian zealot was on my train this morning going on and on about how we need to repent or we’re all gonna burn in fiery hell. People mostly ignored him and some were laughing. If he was a Muslim saying the same thing, you can bet someone would have gone to the cops and they probably would have arrested him for terrorist threat or something. So fucked up.
2. David Koch is giving $100million to the hospital where I work and it makes me sick.

Good point. The scrutiny on anyone of Middle-Easter descent has been completely out of control since 9/11. Like stories about people who wouldn’t ride on a plane because someone with a turbin got on, which has nothing to do with any of the places the 9/11 hijackers came from.
I talk to otherwise level headed people who like to think they are open minded and then out pops some kind of racism against Arabs or Persians. I figure this just has a lot to do with most people no knowing any Muslims.
I’ve read parts of the Koran and it’s just about as archaic as the bible which has just as much wisdom AND just as many outdated attitudes. And frankly, Christina fundamentalists scare me just about as much as Islamic fundamentalists.
Most people aren’t fundamentalists. And frankly, you have just about as much chance of getting struck my lightning as you do dying from a terrorist attack, but that doesn’t keep people from losing their mind, buying a million guns, and fearing everyone with brown skin.
Sad.
